Returning the Sample
We cannot process an order without a signed consent form so please ensure it is returned with the sample in the pre-addressed envelope.
The DNA sample is stable for several weeks once the stabilising capsule is placed (whole) into the tube with the sample. Therefore, there are no special storage or transport requirements, you can return any day and it is not necessary to use an express service.
Posting from within the UK
The envelope can simply be dropped into a post box.
If you choose to take it into a post office and they query the PO Box number, our label is correct (some smaller post offices may not have up to date records).
The return address within the UK is:
Lifecode Gx
PO Box 74316
London N1P 3BB
Posting from outside the UK
We supply packaging labelled for customs, but the recipient will need to arrange and pay for returning the sample to the UK (courier or tracked delivery is recommended).
The package is low weight and is a dry cheek swab sample, so no special paperwork is required.
As the sample has 'No Commercial Value' and has a customs value of $10, it should be exempt from customs duties inbound to the UK. If customs and import duties are charged, the returning party will be responsible to pay these duties and fees.
Overseas packages should be returned to:
